Evening Book Club

The Readers Gone WACky is a group of readers who meet on a regular basis to discuss a selected book.  Members meet approximately once a month at 8PM on a Tuesday evening in the WAC clubroom.  Books are selected twice a year based on members’ suggestions. The Readers Gone WACky currently consists of about 10 members from several different countries.

Past favorites of our English book club include:  Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand, Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, Sea of Poppies by Amitav Ghosh, Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates, When the Killing’s Done by T.C. Boyle, Loving Frank by Nancy Horan and Becoming by Michelle Obama.  Spontaneous drop-ins to book club meetings are welcome.

The Readers Gone WACky has been applauded for its diverse membership and ambiance. Everyone is welcome and every opinion is heard.  New members welcome!

Contact Eleonore Jacobi-Wolter if you would like to join us.  Attendance is free for WAC members (including Adult Social membership) and non-members are also very welcome, at a fee of CHF5 each time.
