The Potluck Club’s March Dinner Theme was Green or Irish Food in honour of St. Patrick’s Day (March 17). We had lots of scrumptious food: Guinness Beef Stew with Potato Rolls (from Jessie), Leek Soup (Laura), Vegetarian Shephard’s Pie (Swapna), Colcannon & Irish Soda Bread (Judy), Spinach Dip (Jana), Spinach & Cheese Puff Pastry Triangles (Sam), Smoked Salmon Paté (Monika), and Spinach & Ricotta Gnocchi (Tori). For dessert, there was Bailey’s Irish Cream, Apple Crisp and Mirjam made delightful Leprechaun Hat Cakes. Are you hungry yet?
We all had a rollicking good time, as usual for the Potluck Club, and I learned lots more about Irish food through the best way: eating it. After the dinner, a few requested recipes were e-mailed around to all attendees.
